Kara DioGuardi to Leave Idol after this Season?

Kara DioGuardi is legendary when it comes to writing hit songs for various artists. Let’s give her that. But when she joined American Idol, many people got furious as to why the show chose to go that path, knowing that earlier versions of the four-judges show failed so badly. Now, Kara reveals that her contract is only for this season and she may or may not be seating pretty on her Idol seat next year.

“I’m only here for one season,” reveals to TV Guide magazine. “That’s what we’ve discussed. So we’ll see what happens.”

“My life has become extremely exciting and I am so excited for this opportunity. I feel grateful to America that they let me grow and they let me find my groove on the show and that they were patient. And hopefully I haven’t disappointed them. It’s been a scary experience at times.”

Cowell has made it clear that he won’t do the show without Ryan, Randy and Paula, so I guess he wouldn’t care less if Kara got booted out of the show next year. Personally, Kara talks some sense when judging on the show, but her over-exaggerated comments can be annoying. She’s like a woman version of Randy. What do you guys think?
